[A quick follow-up from Coming Soon: Ironman Coeur d’Alene 70.3]
MRI results have been interpreted and the only main issue to worry about is a torn medial meniscus. And right now there’s not much that can be done about it. I will likely opt for the arthroscopic surgery this fall or winter after race season. Until then, no running.
What does this mean for my Ironman CdA 70.3 plans? Not much really changes from what I wrote last week. I’ll do my best swim and bike and then pretty much walk the 13.2 miles. I may try and trot a little bit, it doesn’t hurt much while running. But I probably won’t get too carried away because it hurts a LOT for days afterwards.
Oh well. It is what it is and I will do what I can.
Now, if that lake water doesn’t warm up past the current 55 degree temp I also may just drop out altogether 🙄. That’s damned cold!

Beat my goal on the bike by over 10 minutes. And, sadly, had to take the DNF about 7 miles into the run (refer back to my recent post about the knee). […]
